Smart Tag Software

The heart of Smart Tag is its sophisticated and cutting edge software. By leveraging Java Web Start technology, Smart Tag is easy to distribute and install from any Internet browser. It is designed for multiple users and is password protected to provide varying access to administration features.

You can track resources underground based on:
  • Resource name (i.e., Personnel/truck name)
  • Identification number (i.e,. Personnel ID number, Truck number)
  • Resource type (i.e., Personnel, maintenance supplies, fork lift)
  • Department
  • Supervisor
  • Location (i.e., garages, refuge stations)

Smart Tag's main interface is easily customized to mirror any operation's layout (i.e., site map, antenna locations,) and offers many resource configuration options such as resource types, departments, and supervisors. Smart Tag also provides an accessible tagging history for each resource.

When changes need to be made, the Smart Tag hardware can easily be re-assigned to other resources and locations without losing tracking history.

Resource Tracking

Resources are any objects, vehicles, equipment, or personnel that you wish to track at your operation. Resource Tracking provides a means of quickly identifying the last known location and accessing the tagging history of individual or multiple resources.

For instance, this can allow you to find equipment at the start of each shift, or to track inbound warehouse maintenance supplies. Smart Tag can also provide the last known location of individual/multiple resources and resource tracking history in report format.

Location Tracking

Smart Tag's location tracking feature allows the user to easily identify antenna locations on the site map and view a list of resources currently at any location. This tool could be used in many ways such as to monitor ramp traffic or manage inventory.

Generating Reports

Smart Tag can be configured to automatically generate customized reports on a regular basis (ie., daily, monthly) and e-mail these reports to specified personnel. For instance, it can send an equipment location report to the shift boss at the start of each shift, or it can send a cycle time report to the mine superintendent on a monthly basis.

The following is an example of a report which tracks the time taken by a resource to complete a production cycle between two locations.

The next report groups resources of the same type and shows the resource's name, last known location, when that resource was last scanned at the location and it's department.

Smart Tag will also create a report of the information currently shown in the data table. A sample report is shown below. This report groups resources of the same type and shows the resource's name, when the resource was first scanned at the location, when that resource was last scanned at the location and the time since it was last detected at that location.

The resource history report lists location names, the resources tag number, the first/last read times and duration at each location.
