Monitor and Control Mine Equipment
Being able to monitor and control mine equipment such as fans, air flow monitors and gas monitors, remotely can save a mine thousands of dollars every year. It also ensures increased safety underground. Varis’ Smart Com enjoys the highest bandwidth of all Leaky Feeder systems thereby making it the best option to run data over Leaky Feeder. This can be done over a Smart Com Leaky Feeder system or Smart Com Ethernet.

If an underground operation already has a SCADA system installed, the existing SCADA system could be used to implement a ventilation control and gas monitoring system. Data monitoring over Leaky Feeder allows the system to be portable and can grow with the mine.
